Radisson Blu Resort Schloss Fleesensee
Germany, Fleesensee - Castle Golf
Visit one of Germany's most difficult golf courses, Schloss Course, then spice up the round with accommodation at the castle in Fleesensee, where proximity to golf, a spa, an exercise area and... yes, there is everything.
Once upon a time ... a forgotten castle by a lake.
This is how the story of the five star Radisson Blu Resort Schloss Fleesensee can begin.
The castle, built in 1842, was in fact uninhabited for a long time and the surroundings were untouched.
After an investment of one billion Swedish kronor it’s teeming with life in and around the castle.
Here in the little village of Göhren-Lebbin, an hour's drive from Rostock, there are 184 rooms and suites, three gourmet restaurants, three bars, a fitness and beauty centre, a swimming pool, a Jacuzzi, a sauna, Turkish bath, access to a variety of sports - and three golf courses, all opened in 2000.
The most renowned is the Schloss Course, the Castle Course, which is part of the PGA European Tour-chain and is considered one of Germany's most difficult courses. Castle Course measures 6,335 metres from the white tees. It feels like a real challenge ... in addition there are also two 9-hole "Fun & Short" courses.
The courses are open year round. And it is well catered for for those who want to practice. Europe’s largest driving range is located here, with over 200 tee spots and a "golfodrom" with heated tee spot cabins, plus golf a academy with a Swedish-speaking pro.
For those who are not satisfied with just golf, but want to burn more calories it is well taken care of:
A riding stable with a riding school
Seventeen tennis courts - nine outdoor and eight indoor
Three squash courts
...and much more.
Afterwards you can relax in the Japanese-inspired bathing facility Relax Therme or simply sit in a deck chair by the lake.
