Dominican Republic, Casa de Campo

With a view of the Caribbean Sea, Casa de Campo Resort on the Dominican Republic is a golfer’s paradise. With three golf courses signed Pete Dye it’s hard not to feel at home. If you take a look at the hotel, it’s great for the family as well.

When it comes to golf vacations you often face a problem. How do you find an establishment with both a golf course and a world class hotel that suits the entire family? If you travel to the Casa de Campo Resort in the Dominican Republic, you need not worry. Here you’ll find golf courses, several restaurants, bars and a big hotel that offers activities for the entire family.

The hotel is up to standard and the golf course is always on lists of the world's 25 best courses. In fact it’s so good that Swedish golf Pro Jesper Parnevik chose to have his honeymoon here. At the same time he took the opportunity to set the course record with 62 strokes.

The championship course, designed by Pete Dye, is called Teeth of the Dog and is often a tough test since the Caribbean winds sweep in from the sea and make some holes a power test where the smallest margin of error leads to a lost ball.

All of this makes for a perfect family vacation where different handicap groups are satisfied. Should it be the case that, heaven forbid, golf is not such a high priority, there are all sorts of activities that make time pass quickly.

Tennis courts, a shooting facility of top class, a riding centre with horses so nice that even a total duffer can remain in the saddle, and of course the beach. Or why not lie in the pool area and sip a drink?

Whatever you choose to do, we promise it will be pleasant.
