Live in a castle and play golf at Pierpoint

Visit the calm golf country of Belgium and play golf on Swedish-owned Pierpont outside Brussels and live in a castle-like hotel with everything you could wish for close by.

Looking for a quiet and pleasant golf vacation without any problems at all to get a tee time, then a visit to the Swedish-owned Pierpont outside Brussels is a must. Smoothness is total as you live in the castle-like hotel on the course and when the clubhouse restaurant positively surprises you, the comfort factor is high.

That Belgium is for many a relatively unknown golf country is perhaps not so surprising. The golf boom came rather late and most courses were built in the late 80s and early 90s. Pierpont is no exception and the Swedish management and ownership of the now twelve year old course has managed to host the European Senior Tour.

The Pierpont course is suitable for all handicap categories and is both entertaining and varied.
There are 77 courses in Belgium but this is the only one that can say that it has been a part of history. The Battle of Waterloo took place right here and next door to the course is the Lion Hill monument and museum where you can deepen your historical knowledge.

As for other courses, we can mention the Ravenstein. It is here that Belgium's monarchs learned the basics of the game for over 100 years and 18 holes here is like a walk in a botanical garden.

To further reinforce how pleasant Belgium is fast, we quickly conclude that you are in beer-country number one. For those who are looking for a culinary experience, Brussels will not disappoint you. Just keep away from the Belgian national dish of fries with mussels and mayonnaise and everything will be fine.
