The picturesque hotel with a magnificent history! In 1859 the property was leased by the expectant widow Amalia Eriksson and her newborn baby daughter Ida for 12 SEK per year. On August 15, 2003 Amalia House was ready as a hotel to receive its first guests.
An extensive restoration and renovation in consultation with the County Museum has since been done on the original 1700s environment where possible, preserved or restored. To keep the story alive, you can currently visit the room "Amalia's chamber", "Count Brahe chambers" or why not stay as Crown Princess Victoria, which on February 10, 2009 visited us in the now so-called "Victoria Suite".
