Chateau des Vigiers was founded in 1597 and is located in the heart of the wine district of the Dordogne, near Bordeaux in southwest France. The region is renowned for its beauty, history and for its excellent wines and culinary taste sensations.

The castle was renovated and rebuilt in the early 1990s and is today a charming and luxurious four-star hotel with 87 rooms and suites in a genuine castle environment, located in three different buildings, the Château, Relais and Dependance. All of the buildings are close to restaurants, golf courses and other facilities. With the rebuilding was also the foundation of the castle's own wine production was laid as well, and the pleasant and challenging golf courses designed by Donald Steel.
