Strand Golf

The Strand GK is 18 holes of golf on rolling farmland beautifully located on the shore of Lake Mälaren. Some elevated tees are situated in the surrounding forests, built to give the player an impressive view over the golf course. The Gården Strand dates back to the 13th Century and the ground you now play golf on was used by the Swedish kings, Erik (“The Lisp and Lame”) and his wife, Catherine, Charles IX, (Duke Charles), as well as Royal Council Bo Jonson Grip and “Kung Byxlös”, Queen Margaret I. The course layout is by the Strand's own PGA Professional, Janne Kjellwall. His design appeals to the beginner as well as the accomplished golfer. The course is designed with natural grass tees, a variety of water hazards along with sand and grass bunkers that will give golfers a pleasing and competitive experience. The automatic irrigation under the undulating greens keeps the green’s playability all season long. During the course construction, the engineer, who is interested in art, amused himself by creating formations made from the natural rock. At The Strand, you can enjoy the golf course, the beautiful scenery and the rock art.
