There are many things that make Åhus golf course special. The surface is great. Shore meadows with lots of sand, much like in Scotland. In addition, a design that challenges, and an area that is as if made to be expanded. To say nothing of the light here. It's like coming to Skagen and I think all artists here in Österlen can testify to this. Kristianstad Golf Club was founded in 1924. It is Sweden's fourth oldest club. It was named Golf Club of the Year in 1993. The club is ranked year after year among the 10 best courses in Sweden. 18 holes can be classified as heath / woodland course, the so-called Gamla Banan (Old Course). The 9-hole course is closed due to course construction. The course is also located on sandy soil and therefore rarely gets wet. A 36-hole facility of the highest calibre.
