Ombergs Golf

Along Lake Vätter's (Vättern) eastern shore, at the foot of the scenic Omberg, is our golf course. The course designers are Pierre Fulke and Bengt Lorichs and we can today present a scenic, challenging course with seaside character. The course follows nature's own lines and formations. The terrain is slightly hilly and moor-like with a park element. In several places views of the sun-glistening Lake Vätter open with Västergötland as a blue background. On a magnificent summer day 5 August, 2002 we opened the course. Bengt Lorichs held the dedicatory speech and the golf oracle Göran Zachrisson cut the ribbon. After the opening 6000 green fee guests visited the course up until October the same year. The rumour about our course spread quickly and we are very happy to have an even and big flow of satisfied green fee guests. During the 2006 season close to 17,000 green fee guests were noted, a figure that we are very happy about. in addition to our 18-hole course we also have a well-managed practice area where we offer a driving range, a practice green for approach and bunker play, as well as four practice holes in identical condition as the other course. Our pros arrange popular golf schools and traditional lessons, much appreciated by our members as well as our guests. We wish you a warm welcome to Ombergs Golf!
