Kumla Golfklubb
Kumla Golf Club offers an 18-hole full length golf course in a park environment about 7 kilometres east of the city of Kumla. The course is to be found close to an artificial mountain (Kvarntorpshögen) pretty close to road 50/51 on the right hand side if arriving from Kumla. The course The length of the course is 5845 meters (6392 yards) from men’s tee and 5100 meters (5577 yards) from ladies tee. The course is a bit hilly in some parts but not too much. There is water on just 4 holes and less than 40 sand bunkers, but nevertheless the course offers most golfers quite a challenge. If you want to get an idea of the course you may take a look at the course guide, which you will find under the navigation “Banan/Banguide” on this website. Point at the hole number and a picture will show up. In addition to the usual putting greens and the driving range you have a fairly large practice field with a sand bunker, an approach green and a free pitching course of 5 holes (later 7 holes). 9 hole greenfee, pay and play If you do not want to play a full 18-hole round you may – on weekdays before 3 p.m. – play just 9 holes for a smaller fee. Otherwise the greenfee is per day and allows you to play more than one round. During 2009 we offer pay and play on Wednesdays on the ordinary course for ordinary greenfee. At least one player in each ball must be a member of a golf club and have a handicap of 36 or better and take the role as responsible for security and golf etiquette. Restaurant The golf restaurant is open daily during golf season and in weekdays the rest of the year. You may also have something to eat at the course kiosk at tee no. 8. There you will also find a WC where you may wash your hands. The WC can also be reached after 3 holes. There is also a traditional toilet at tee no. 12. Camping and B&B If you have a trailer or camping van you may stay overnight at our camping ground for a small fee. This is not an ordinary camping site but will certainly do for most golfers. You also have the option of staying at B&B not far from the golf course. You will find some alternatives under the navigation “Gäst/Greenfee/Boende och golfpaket” at this website.
