Jönköpings Golfklubb
Jönköping Golf Club is Småland’s oldest golf club and was established in 1936. Two years later the first nine holes of were opened with Frank Dyer as course designer. The course was unchanged until 1961 when the club expanded to a full 18-hole course under the direction of Nils Skold. The course is a hilly parkland course in a scenic location along Tabergsån and on both sides of the railway between Jönköping and Halmstad. The course is par 70 and is considered a very well run course where green fee guests gladly return. Foremost perhaps for the eleventh hole, a par 3 hole with rail as out of bounds to the left and a treacherous ravine to the right. Furthermore, hole 14, a par 5 hole with a breathtaking outdoor experience on the way down to the bunker-embedded green and with Taberg just behind. Jönköping GK is also the club that has hosted the most competitions of the Swedish Golf Tour (SGF) Telia Tour, as the club has arranged the Husqvarna Open 1992-2008.
