Golf du Medoc - Les Chateaux & Les Vignes

Four European Tour tournaments have been played here, including the French Open which was won by Retief Goosen in 1999. GOLF DU MEDOC - LES VIGNES 6,256 METRES, PAR 71 "Vignes Course" was designed in 1991 by the Canadian course designer Rod Whitman. This golf course is located in a typical regional landscape of marsh and pine trees. The course is designed for players of all levels but can be made extremely selective, depending on the pin placement. You will certainly appreciate the wide variety of game situations and difficulties on the greens that can satisfy the most demanding golfer. The course hosted the Grand Final of the European Challenge Tour during 2002, 2003 and 2004. These two courses have been played by multiple Grand Slam winners: Ian Baker-Finch, Severiano Ballesteros, Angel Cabrera, Mark Calcavechia, Ben Crenshaw, Steve Elkington, Retief Goosen, Paul Lawrie, Sandy Lyle, Geoff Ogilvy, Jose-Maria Olazabal, Mark O 'Meara and Ian Woosnam.
