Los Marlins

Los Marlins is part of the successful Metro Country Club residential complex, about 45 minutes away from both Santo Domingo and La Romana. It's a fairly short course, just 6,396 yards from its blue tees. However, those who know the course warn that it should not be taken lightly because some of the fairways are narrow and many others are protected by sand traps and water. The roughs can be very difficult and in the end, might cost you dearly on your scorecard, especially during the second round. Its signature hole is the 4th hole, a 193-yard par 3 from the white tees, and more than 200 yards out from the blue tees. It is a totally straight hole that is out of bounds on both sides. Because it’s very small green is surrounded by traps, this is a very difficult hole for professionals, and even more difficult for beginners. Los Marlins Golf Course offers putting green facilities, a shop, locker rooms, mini golf and a golf school. In the clubhouse you will find a restaurant and a salon for cigarette smokers, a billiard table and a giant-screen TV. Also included in its facilities are two pools, tennis courts and a beach club at Costa Sol.
