Los Aromas, Santiago Golf Club
This course is located on the hills only five minutes away from the city of Santiago and with beautiful views of the city, the Cibao Valley and the Yaque del Norte River. The course was designed by Pete Dye during the same period when he completed his masterpiece the "Diente de Perro” ["Dog's Tooth"] in La Romana. With ascents and large slopes to challenge golfers, it has 4 par 3 holes, 2 par 5 holes, and 12 par 4 holes. This is rough terrain with greens and ascents at a certain height. Although it is a short course, because of its narrow fairways, its small greens, its many traps and heights, the course is at a 135 slope, one of the highest and hardest courses in the country. Dye was able to satisfy those who were seeking challenges as well as those for whom esthetic beauty is more than enough.
